Pat Keister

Just found out today that Pat Keister passed away.  Pat was the wife of my second cousin, Gary Keister. Here is her obituary:

Pat Keister
PATOKA - Pat A. Keister, 64, of Patoka died on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at her home in Patoka.
She was born Dec. 22, 1944, in St. Louis, daughter of Mayford Edward Meyer, and was raised by Alice and Jim Logue. She married Gary D. Keister on Aug. 10, 1965, in Sandoval, and he survives in Patoka.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Keister is survived by two daughters, Angie Braddock and husband Harry of Patoka and Beth Orrell and husband Tater of Shattuc; two grandchildren, Casey Braddock and Bradley Braddock, both of Patoka; and a sister, Sharon Walker and husband Ben of Morton.
Mrs. Keister lived in Patoka her whole life. She was a homemaker and farm wife, assisting in every aspect of the farm for many years. She was a member of the Patoka Baptist Church and the International Harvester Club Chapter 32. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed attending III tractor shows. The family remembers her as a loving wife, mother and granny to her family.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Patoka Baptist Church in Patoka with the Rev. David Rogers, the Rev. Dwayne Ambrose and the Rev. Terry Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 11 a.m. today at the church.
Memorials may be made to the VNA - Tip Hospice and will be accepted at the church or Day Funeral Home in Patoka.
