I am finished with indexing the 2003 copies of the Carlyle Union Banner. The indexes have all been sent to Obituary Daily Times. I have many copies of the Carlyle Union Banner from 1997 and earlier but I’m not going to be indexing them for several months. It is time for me to start working on my publication of the Ancestors and Descendants of Clemens W Heinzmann.

I have stacks and stacks of newspapers and I have no way to file them so I started a project of creating file folders for the obituaries. I’m working on the Carlyle Union Banner. I have indexed the obits from all the papers I have for the years 2004 thru today (2008). If you are interested in searching these indexes, check out the Obituary Daily Times. You can search for surnames or enter “CarlyleUB” and see all the indexed entries for the Union Banner. I am also sending the indexes to the Clinton County Mailing List. You can search the archives of the list by entering ILCLINTO in the Rootsweb search facility.
As people request individual obituraries, I post them to the Clinton County Mailing List and to this website at: Carlyle Union Banner Obituaries.
In the process of indexing these obituaries, I have found several that connect to my families, as a result, the information in my database has grown. I have updated my Complete Surname List and will update the TNG On-Line Database shortly. In the mean time, please feel free to email me with any questions.
