Ancestry.com has moved Rootsweb under the ancestory.com domain. There was some discussion that individual contributors would no longer maintain the copywrite on their contributions so many of the websites have moved. I’ve updated my favorite links to point to the new addresses.
Although we have seen copies of marriage records and more, it is hard to tell if my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was named Jubel or Iubel.
Anyhow, I found and fixed a couple of errors so am now reposting the ancestor reports on my father, Carl Fred HEINZMANN.
Even with all the preparation for the wedding, I found digging at the roots of the family tree was relaxing and refreshing.
I dug through some information from Wayne Leidwanger and Judy Linenfelser. Our common ancestor appears to be my great-great-great grandmother, Maria Franziska Rödler (1804-1882), wife of Johann Valentin Heinzmann (1784-1848). Their work has taken me back another 6 generations.
I have updated the surname list and hope to update the reports for my father, Carl Heinzmann, soon.
The last of March and the first part of April have been very busy with preparations for a wedding! April 12, 2008, our youngest son (Kenneth Heinzmann) and his sweetheart of 7 years (Theresa Halas) were united in marriage. These are special kids. They have been doing everything right. They met as freshmen in college and fell in love but they wanted to finish their education before starting their married life. Both graduated with advanced degrees from Texas Tech University and both found jobs as Architects in Dallas. We are so proud of them! We hope to update their website (http://kennyandtree.com) soon with pictures from the wedding.
