Violet L. Reichart, 51, of Shelbyville passed away Friday at 8:10 p.m. in the
St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.
Funeral services were held today at 1:30 p.m. in the Lockart & Son Funeral
Home by Rev. Walter Attig. Mr. and Mrs. Rou Hansen were the singers and Mrs.
Betty Lockart organist. Pall bearers were Joe Macklin, Roger Reichart, Lawrence
Strohl, Roger Strohl, Robert Trimble and Bob Marquiss, Sr. Burial was in Glenwood
Cemetery.
She was born April 11, 1924 in Shelby Co., the daughter of Raymond and Goldie
Harlow Wood.
She married James W. Reichart April 11, 1942 in Shelbyville.
Surviving is her husband, James; three sons, James Dennis, David William and
Richard Allen all of Shelbyville; one daughter, Mrs. Terisa Heinzman of Paxton,;
one brother Jimmie Wood of Shelbyville; five sisters, Mrs. Phylis Strohl, and
Mrs. June Edwards both of Shelbyville, Mrs. Margurite Mose of Henton, Mrs. Wilma
Marquiss of Findlay and Mrs. Jean Brown of Moline and 3 grandchildren.
She was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois.
She was educated eigth grade in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois.
Her middle name is listed as Leota on James Dennis' birth certificate. She had
red hair.
