Joseph Patrick Levitt3,5 was born in Aug 1937.3,5 He died about 2003.3,5 When Joe Pat was about 14 years old, he and a friend went hunting. Somehow his friend's gun went off and shot Joe Pat in the back. He was taken to Barnes Hospital but was not expected to survive. He did make it but was paralyzed from the waist down. He attended the University of Illinois and played and traveled with their wheelchair basketball team. He became a high school and college history teacher. He died about a year ago. He married several times but none of them lasted. (Barbara Speiser, May 2004) Genealogical Notes: Edward Wurtz erroneously shows him as the son of Emma (Speiser) Wurtz.
